Cantabria in northern Spain offers a
stunning coastline, an enviable range of
historic villages and ports and the beautiful
Picos de Europa mountains. Our 4 star hotel
has a spectacular setting in the village of
Isla, overlooking the bay and close to
Santander. From here explore quaint fishing
ports, Santander, Santillana del Mar and the
glorious Picos de Europa.

Our Itinerary:
Day 1 - 2nd Sep: Morning home pick-ups
complete, we head to Portsmouth to Board
the Brittany Ferries Cruise Ferry Service to
Caen. Relax and enjoy a night on board the
ship.
Day 2 - 3rd Sep: Arrive in Caen and travel to
your overnight hotel in France arriving midafternoon. The afternoon is yours to stroll
around before settling in for your evening
meal.
Day 3 - 4th Sep: Today we leave our
overnight hotel to make our way to our main
hotel for the next week in Cantabria arriving here mid-afternoon - Once here
unpack and enjoy the afternoon at your
leisure.
Day 4 - 5th Sep: A day at leisure to relax,
spend time on the beach, in the village or
enjoying the hotel facilities.
Day 5 - 6th Sep: Travel to Santillana del Mar,
a fascinating village on the World Heritage
List, best described as a living museum.
Stroll the cobbled streets and visit the many
artisan shops offering local arts and crafts.
In the afternoon stop in Comillas, the 'City of
Archbishops' with its grand architecture and
historic centre, before returning to Isla.
Day 6 - 7th Sep: Full day to the impressive
Picos De Europa mountain range. Stop in
San Vicente before joining the River Deva
Valley, passing through a canyon, and on to
Potes, a lovely market town set high in the
mountains. Those who wish can continue to

Day 7 - 8th Sep: Another day at leisure today
to relax and do your own thing.
Day 8 - 9th Sep: A short excursion today to
Santona Bay where we include a boat trip of
the bay with beautiful views. A little free
time afterwards.
Day 9 - 10th Sep: A 昀椀nal excursion today, to
be con昀椀rmed near the time.
Day 10 - 11th Sep: Today we check out of
our main hotel and make the short journey
to Santander for the return crossings. First
though, we allow a bit of free time to do
some 昀椀nal exploring in Santander.
Day 11 - 12th Sep: Arrive back in the UK, for
our feeders to drop you off at your door.
